Day 1: Cairo_Marsa Matrouh_Siwa oasis
Pick up time early morning from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and drive to El Alamein, Driving distance: 259 km. Visit El Alamein which gives good information about the battle of El Alamein, and the tombs of the Italians and Germans, Commonwealth War Graves drive to Marsa Matrouh from El Alamein, a Driving distance: of 183 km. Lunch on the way, arrive in Marsa Matrouh, then drive to Siwa Oasis Driving distance: 313 km.
Upon arrival visit Cleopatra’s Spring where you can swim, Then drive to the salty lake. The salty water takes you above the water and makes you float., You don't need to be a good swimmer. Take care when you go swimming and don't let the water reach your eyes. as it is really painful. Choose Crystal Lake and there are many of them. But keep looking for the purest one, when you see the bottom. Take a bottle of Mineral water to shower with after swimming in the lake, The salt lakes have similar hyper-salinity properties to those of Jordan’s Dead Sea. This also means that the lakes hold great healing properties, much stronger than regular seawater. In all cases, You will make for a wonderful swim! Then proceed to (Cleopatra's bath )The spring of the sun. It has been mentioned by travelers to Siwa. then Visit Mountain of the Dead Gebel Al Mawta Alexander the Great Temple also known as the Temple of the Oracle; Taste the Siwan in a Siwan restaurant, then Fatnas Lake and drive the Great Sand Sea.
